What makes this experience different from other Sip and Paint classes?

The main differences are the quality of the teaching, and the tranquil ambience of an outdoor setting (undercover) in a very quiet corner of New Beith. Whilst the purpose of this class is primarily to have a fun, entertaining and relaxing afternoon, Murray will also teach you vital skills to create amazing looking artworks. Murray is a professional artist who has had over 20 years’ experience teaching art to all levels of expertise. Through online courses on his website Art Lessons Online, Murray has helped hundreds of students transition from beginner to experts. With that experience, Murray knows exactly how to break down the process into easy-to-follow steps. After this class you will be amazed and proud of what you have achieved and will be happy to hang your painting on the wall.

In an outdoor, undercover setting in tranquil surrounds, you can relax and enjoy the soft music and songs of birds as you melt into the creative process of painting.

About this experience

Painting can be so much fun. In this 3 hour experience, you will learn how to use just a few colours to create an amazing looking Splendid Fairy-Wren. Through step-by-step instruction and expert guidance, you will take home a painting that you will love and cherish.

You’ll learn about colour mixing, methods of brushwork to layer your paint, making complex subjects simple and how to make a painting look great!

This class is $60 per person and runs for 3 hours.

Do I need to have any painting experience?

Absolutely not. Most participants are beginners with little or no painting experience. That is what makes the class so enjoyable, there are no expectations, and everyone is learning something new for the first time.

What do I wear?

You can wear casual, comfortable clothing. Aprons will be provided, however please note that paint can get messy and spills do sometimes occur. We recommend keeping that in mind when choosing your attire, we will not be responsible for any paint marks on clothes.

What do I need to bring?

We will supply all the materials that you need to create a great painting. You will take your completed canvas home with you. We also provide a complimentary drink (champagne or juice) and aprons to protect your clothing.

It is a BYO event, please bring your own refreshments of choice.

Is there an age limit?

Not really, but it is primarily for adults. It is recommended that attendees be over 16 years to get the most out of the event, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Some people may bring alcohol, so please consider this if you would like to bring an underage person.

Are there minimum numbers?

For the Paint and Wine Experience there is a minimum of 8 attendees required for the class to go ahead. The classes can have up to 14 people. If you have a large group, or would like a custom event for a special occasion, please contact me to check on availability for your event dates.
